As your constituent, I urge you to support Senate passage of the Equality Act (H.R. 5), which would finally provide explicit and comprehensive nationwide nondiscrimination protections for LGBTQ people – protections that are urgently needed as we build upon the historic Supreme Court ruling that protects people from discrimination for being LGBTQ in the workplace.

All of us should be able to fully participate in public life, and not be judged based on characteristics like our sexual orientation or gender identity. Everyone deserves a fair chance to support themselves, provide for their family, and live as their true selves free from the fear of harassment or discrimination. Please support the Senate's passage of the Equality Act (H.R. 5).
