April 2020: Take 3

April 2020: Take 3

There is a reason we call her Mother Earth. She is where all life begins. We were born in her soil and raised in her trees. We breathe through her lungs and bathe in her storms. We bask in her shelter and dream in her sunsets. She is why we’re here. She is our home. She’s everything for all of us.

We should have been better to her, but it took the prospect of dire consequences to realize just how sick she is. And plastic is what is destroying her more with every passing day. Plastic pollution is filling the oceans, killing wildlife, and causing major shifts in the balance of life and climate on this planet. We see the effects of pollution every day and it's a terrifying truth that these shifts will continue to progress on a much larger scale until our Mother is virtually uninhabitable.

And when that time comes, it'll be too late to go back and make it right. We don't get a 'do-over.' If we lose our Mother, we lose everything.

Mother Earth no longer has forever, so we have to act now. The future of our planet is in our hands and we owe the generations after us the opportunity to explore our beautiful Earth. They deserve a chance to do better and be better to our Mother than generations before us.

Doing nothing is not an option. Mother Earth is our home and she’s the only one we’ve got. The clock is ticking and now is the time to do our part to fix what we’ve broken. It’s time for us to Make Waves Not War.
