Freedom to Serve
In Oct 2007 my Battalion Commander received an anonymous letter stating “ I should be sent home or I will go home in a body bag”.
Someone found out I was gay and threatened my life. At the time, I was married to a man and had a gf (he knew about it). I am also a Mormon so things were a bit complicated.
What I found out was my own soldiers wrote lies about me for my discharge that I didn’t see until 2018 when I started to work for the government.
My story has been in a documentary that I would love to share. I also would love to do a podcast. I have written a thesis on this with other service members both for DADT and the Transban. I have interviewed Col Cammermeyer.
