My teammates saved my life.

Several years ago I had a hard time dealing with my grandfather’s death and school. I started self harming as a way to try to control all the pain I was feeling. While on a hockey trip with my team I was ready to end it all. I had a plan in place, but because of my teammates and coaches I finally got the help I needed. I have relapsed with the self harming a few time since. I am forever grateful for my team because without them I would not be here today. My scars show my past story and will always be apart of me, but my new story will go on…
