Survivor not victim

Hey, my name is D. I am a disabled 28-year-old female with a service dog. What I am most proud of is the fact that I have survived many traumas in my life. I have survived sexual assaults, bullying, and domestic abuse. I also survived multiple suicide attempts. I am proud to still be here. I’m proud of myself for trying to get better. I’m proud of my service dog for everything she does for me.

For once it’s really strange to say but I’m actually proud of myself. And I am proud of everybody else who has made it. I am proud of you for surviving. I’m proud of you for being a warrior. Because that’s what we are. We are warriors. We may break down but we do not give up. Especially when we stand and fight TOGETHER.

I am proud to be apart of this amazing organization.
