Just because we call something “normal” doesn’t mean it actually is. Sometimes normal is eating waffles for dinner and getting up at 5:30 in the morning to have a dance party. I can’t even explain how amazing it feels to wake up at 5:30 a.m. for the sole purpose of dancing for two hours before you start your day. No matter what comes after that, for 2 hours, I got to witness a healthy, happy, positive dance party happen with people of all shades, genders, identities, and statuses. No matter who we were or where we came from, we all showed up when everyone else said it wasn’t normal, and we danced. We laughed. We had fun. Alcohol free, dance your pants off fun before most people really started their day.

Thank you, Daybreaker for bringing such a wonderful event into this world. I’ll find you again, and I’ll bring more humans next time. And thank you to @showyousuck for bringing the energy to the crowd this morning, and @apolloxo for KILLIN’ it with the music—sorry I couldn’t use your mashup for this.
