– 1/2 cup dried quinoa (any kind you prefer)
– 1 cup water or vegetable/chicken/beef broth
Place dried quinoa in a strainer and run under cold water to rinse. In a medium sized pot, add water or broth and place on high heat. Add quinoa. Wait until liquid begins to boil and then immediately bring down heat to a light simmer; cover and allow to cook for about 20 minutes or until quinoa has absorbed all liquid and appears mushy.
