When I was growing up I always wanted do something and be part of something bigger then myself. When I turned 17 I decided to enlist in the army and I was the best decision I ever made with my life. I’ve been in for 2 1/2 years and the people I’ve met I will be friends with forever. In the army it doesn’t matter what your Race, Religion, Sexual Orientation, or were you grow up at.
we’re all human. Only thing that matters is the mission and the people on the right and left of you. To be part of only 1% of the American population who make the decision to serve is something that anyone should be proud of. Being a part of this gave my life purpose and I’m forever grateful. There are no Black lives, White lives, Gay Lives, Straight lives, or anything in between…there are only Human lives that should matter.
