You will need to get insurance for your vehicle, it is the law. Typical car insurance doesn’t cover you in Puerto Peñasco, Mexico. If you are a driver, please have a print out of the insurance policy and a full tank of gas when arriving to meet the caravan.
We have partnered with Touchdown Insurance to obtain Mexican Insurance via their website but if you have any questions, you can call the agent (Dan Meyers) directly at 602-677-2310. You're certainly welcome to secure your insurance with a different company if you prefer.
And for those of you that are catching a ride with someone, please try to help them out by pitching in for gas as a token of your appreciation!
