We’re all about transparency. We started this website because we love a healthy and happier lifestyle, but we still learn things each and every day. We are not licensed personal trainers, nutritionists, and we don’t have a medical background. We have, however, partnered and collaborated with some truly amazing individuals to produce content that’s important to your health journey. These individuals have certifications and licenses in many fields, and can all be found on the articles and content written by them.
Regardless, the FTC requires bloggers to disclose whenever there could be hidden interests or unspoken biases related to recommendations. So here goes…
First, the obvious: We’re all humans here (shocking I know). We have to eat and provide for ourselves and our families the same way everyone else does. Up until this point we have not accepted any sort of sponsorships, but that’s not to say we won’t in the future. Rest assured, if we do partner with a company it’s because we deeply align with their mission and values and find an added benefit to ourselves and this community.
Second, the less obvious: Per the FTC rules, if we meet with someone and they grab the bill for lunch, we would need to disclose this. Ditto if we use an Amazon link that gets us 8 cents instead of an Amazon link that gets us 0 cents. If someone gives us a comfy t-shirt with a logo and we wear it in a photo, same deal. Disclaimers all over the place. This would be tedious for us and even more tedious for readers to go through. But rules is rules. To cover our butts and preserve your reading experience, please assume that, for every link and product we use, the following all hold true:
