Fight for what you want

Fight for what you want

At a very young age I knew that I had a passion for helping people; in fact I used to play “dostor”, Doctor, as a kid. However, while growing up, science and math never were my strong points. Add that with being bullied and that led to a lot of self doubt.

Fast forward to college where I got a Bachelor in History. Even though history is one of my passions, I felt like I was being called to something more.

Five years later I am now an EMT and I couldn’t be happier. Now don’t get me wrong, being a first responder is stressful, it’s not glamorous, and sometimes it can make you feel lonely. Despite all of that it has given me an opportunity to do what I felt the Lord called me to. I get to interact with people and touch their lives, whether or not I’m physically saving them.

I just want to encourage others that don’t give up on your calling, even if you have setbacks or self doubt. Keep fighting and I promise you that you will end up where you are supposed to be!
