My Best Friend Has Four Legs

When Izzie came into my life, I decided I wanted to train her to be a therapy dog so we could visit people in places like hospitals, schools, and nursing homes. She’s amazing at her job and I love to watch her interact with other people, and her work at home is just as important.

Izzie has been by my side for 10 years and we’ve been through so much together – both good and not-so-good. I’ve had multiple health issues and surgeries, relationships and breakups, grief and loss, college graduations and jobs; Izzie has had a couple of health scares of her own, but is always so brave. Izzie is a certified therapy dog, emotional support animal, dock diving enthusiast, big sister (to my other canine kids), and my co-pilot and best friend. It’s hard to imagine getting through these past years without her.

She is so special to me and I’m so glad I am able to share her with other people, and that I’m able to share with all of you how much she has helped me. Animals are truly amazing and I can’t imagine my life without them!
